What Is the Smallest Bed Linen Order You Can Place From India?

Many buyers think buying from India means a full container. It does not. If you are a small hotel, a rental host or a shop that wants to test a range, you can start much smaller.

The smallest bed linen order we take is 200 sets. A set is one flat sheet and two pillowcases. Duvet covers start at 200 pieces.

What 200 sets costs

Prices depend on thread count. These are our published bands, FOB Cochin, for sheet sets. FOB means we deliver the goods loaded on the ship, and you pay freight, duty and tax after that.

  • 200 thread count: $5.00 to $7.50 a set. 200 sets is about $1,000 to $1,500.
  • 300 thread count: $8.00 to $11.00 a set. 200 sets is about $1,600 to $2,200.
  • 400 thread count (sateen): $11.00 to $16.00 a set. 200 sets is about $2,200 to $3,200.
  • 600 thread count (sateen): $18.00 to $28.00 a set.
  • A trial order carries a small premium over our larger-volume prices. We say so up front, and we quote the bigger price too, so you can see where it goes if you grow. Read more in how volume changes price.

For a fuller price breakdown, see the hotel linen price guide.

    How a small order works

Four steps: ask for a quote, get samples, place a trial order, make and check. Samples take 7 to 14 days, production 30 to 45 days
From first message to first shipment.

    1. Ask for a quote. Tell us the size, thread count, colour and how many sets. We reply with a price and a spec sheet.

    2. Get samples. We send 2 free pieces per spec. You pay the courier only. They arrive in 7 to 14 days.

    3. Place a trial order. If the samples pass your tests, you order from 200 sets. We take 50 percent as an advance to start.

    4. Production and checks. Production takes 30 to 45 days from confirmed order. We check the goods to AQL 2.5 before they ship. The other 50 percent is paid before dispatch.

Then the goods ship from Cochin or Vizhinjam, by sea or air. Our landed cost guide shows how to add freight, duty and tax. For a first order of a few hundred sets, ask whether air or part of a sea container suits you best. See sea vs air freight.

What you can do before you order

You do not have to pay anything to get started. Do these first:

  • Test the samples. Measure, weigh, wash three times and check the colour. Our towel sample test works for sheets with small changes.
  • Write your spec. Size, thread count, weave, colour, packing. Our RFQ template is a good start.
  • Ask who makes it. We are an export house. Our goods are made in partner mills to a spec we write and check. You should ask the same of any supplier.
  • Is 200 sets enough?

For a trial, yes. 200 sets covers about 66 beds at par 3 (three sets per bed). That is enough to put into real service and see how the sheets wash, hold their size and feel to guests.

For a full property, you will order more. See how many washes a hotel sheet lasts and the 3-year cost of a bed to plan what you need.

    Bigger orders

Wholesale pricing starts at higher volumes. For bed linen we confirm where it starts on your quote. If you plan to buy more later, tell us now, so we can quote both sizes. See wholesale bed linen.

Ask for samples and a quote and tell us how many sets you want to start with.
