1. Conformance Target
We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), the internationally recognised baseline referenced by the EU Accessibility Act and used as the benchmark under the US Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This is a target, not a certified conformance claim — our site is large (public marketing pages, a Buyer Portal, and partner/vendor tooling) and accessibility is an ongoing programme, not a one-time fix.
2. What We Have Fixed
We have run two dedicated accessibility passes:
- Colour contrast (July 2026): Remediated text and UI-element contrast across the site to meet the AA 4.5:1 (text) and 3:1 (UI component) thresholds, including our design-token colours and gold-on-light-background text.
- Keyboard and screen-reader access (October 2026): Fixed critical keyboard-operability issues on our primary product navigation, added a “Skip to main content” link site-wide, added proper landmark regions to pages that were missing them, and wired error announcements (
aria-invalid/aria-describedby) into our main enquiry and quote-request forms.
3. Known Limitations
Honestly, there is more to do. Areas we know still need work include:
- A handful of custom interactive panels (including our live chat widget) do not yet have full dialog semantics for screen readers.
- Some icon-only buttons in lower-traffic tools and in our internal admin tooling are missing text labels.
- Long-running actions (such as PDF generation) do not yet announce progress to screen-reader users beyond the final confirmation.
None of these are known to block core tasks such as requesting a quote, browsing products, or using the Buyer Portal, but we recognise they fall short of full AA conformance and we are working through them.
4. Compatibility
The site is built on standard, semantic HTML with Radix UI primitives (which provide native keyboard support and screen-reader semantics for dialogs, menus, and tabs) and is tested against current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
5. Reporting an Accessibility Issue
If you use assistive technology and run into a barrier anywhere on this site or in the Buyer Portal, please tell us — include the page URL and a description of the problem so we can reproduce and prioritise it.
