Flat sheets (also called top sheets) are rectangular pieces of fabric placed between the guest and the duvet or blanket. Fitted sheets have elasticated corners to wrap the mattress. Hotels typically use both: a fitted sheet on the mattress and a flat sheet on top. Many European hotels and budget properties use only flat sheets as bottom sheets folded under the mattress (traditional hospital tuck). Flat sheets are easier to launder, iron, and store, and are preferred for large-scale hotel laundry operations.

We supply hotel flat sheets in the following thread counts: 200 TC — entry-level, budget hotels and hostels. Crisp percale weave, highly durable. 250 TC — mid-range hotels, most popular specification. 300 TC — upper-midscale hotels and serviced apartments. Soft hand, good durability. 400 TC — upscale and boutique hotels. Sateen weave, silky feel, premium appearance. For most hotel operations, 250–300 TC offers the best balance of softness, durability, and cost. Above 400 TC is generally reserved for luxury resorts and ultra-premium properties.

Percale and sateen are the two main weave structures for cotton flat sheets. Percale (one-over, one-under weave): Crisp, cool, matte finish. More breathable — ideal for warm climates. Highly durable — resists pilling better than sateen. Preferred for high-turnover hotels and tropical resorts. Sateen (four-over, one-under weave): Smooth, silky, subtle sheen. Softer hand feel and heavier drape. Preferred for luxury hotels and boutique properties. Slightly more prone to snagging but offers a premium look. We supply both weaves from 200 to 400 TC.

Minimum order quantity for flat bed sheets: 500 pieces per size/colour combination for plain white or ivory. 1,000 pieces for custom embroidered or monogrammed flat sheets. 500 pieces for mixed size orders (e.g., 200 Queen + 150 King + 150 Twin). Full container: approximately 5,000–8,000 flat sheets per 20-foot container depending on size and GSM. We accept smaller trial orders of 100–250 pieces for new customers at a sample surcharge. Air freight available for urgent orders above 200 pieces.
