Anabyn does not manufacture bamboo towels. Bamboo-viscose blends shrink more per wash, lose their marketed antibacterial properties under commercial bleaching, and degrade faster under industrial laundering. We manufacture 100% virgin ring-spun cotton towels instead, 350–750 GSM, MOQ 100 pcs, FOB Cochin.

Bamboo Towels vs 100% Ring-Spun Cotton

We looked closely at bamboo-cotton terry towels and chose not to manufacture them. Here's the durability, shrinkage, and laundering data behind that decision — and what we make instead.

Why We Don't Manufacture Bamboo Towels

Bamboo-cotton terry towels are often marketed on antibacterial and moisture-wicking claims. In practice, the compound responsible for bamboo's antimicrobial properties is substantially reduced by the commercial bleaching and high-heat washing every hotel and hospitality laundry uses on every cycle — and the viscose fibre content shrinks more and degrades faster than cotton under that same repeated laundering. We build our entire towel range around 100% virgin ring-spun cotton instead: one fibre, one spec, tested for the industrial wash cycles our towels actually go through.

What We Manufacture Instead

Not manufactured: Bamboo-cotton terry

Higher shrinkage, faster fibre degradation under industrial laundering, unverifiable antibacterial claims post-bleaching.

Manufactured: 100% Virgin Ring-Spun Cotton

350–750 GSM terry, pre-shrunk before cutting, 300+ commercial wash cycles, MOQ 100 pcs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Anabyn manufacture bamboo towels?

No. We evaluated bamboo-cotton terry towels and decided not to manufacture them. Bamboo viscose blends shrink more per wash, lose their marketed antibacterial properties under commercial bleaching, and degrade faster under the high-heat industrial laundering that hotels and hospitality buyers actually use. We manufacture 100% virgin ring-spun cotton towels instead — the same fibre, spec, and quality control across our entire towel range.

Is bamboo fabric actually antibacterial in hotel use?

Raw bamboo fibre contains a compound sometimes marketed as 'bamboo kun' with natural antimicrobial properties. In practice, this is substantially reduced or destroyed by the bleaching and high-heat washing that commercial hotel laundries use on every cycle — so the antibacterial claim rarely holds up in the environment towels are actually used in.

Are bamboo towels more absorbent than cotton towels?

Bamboo-blend towels can absorb slightly more than cotton terry when new, but this advantage narrows and reverses with repeated industrial washing as the viscose fibre structure breaks down. 100% virgin ring-spun cotton towels hold their loop structure and absorbency over a much longer service life — what matters for a hotel is absorbency at wash 100, not wash 1.

What does Anabyn manufacture instead of bamboo towels?

100% virgin ring-spun cotton towels across 350–750 GSM, in face, hand, bath, and bath-sheet formats. Ring-spun cotton gives a denser, stronger yarn than carded or open-end cotton, translating to better pilling resistance and a longer usable life under commercial laundering — without any blend-ratio variability to track between orders.

Is there a MOQ for ring-spun cotton towels?

Yes — 100 pieces per size/colour, lower than the bamboo-blend MOQ we used to quote, because standard cotton-spinning infrastructure doesn’t require a dedicated production run the way bamboo viscose yarn does.
