Air freight for hotel linen makes commercial sense in these specific situations: (1) Hotel opening deadlines — when a property is opening in 2–4 weeks and sea freight cannot make the deadline; (2) Urgent reorder — when a hotel has unexpectedly run low on stock before a regular sea shipment arrives; (3) Sample approval — when you need physical samples quickly before committing to production; (4) High-value, low-weight specialty items — e.g., embroidered luxury suite pillowcases where the value/weight ratio justifies air cost; (5) QC inspection samples — pre-shipment inspection samples sent ahead of the main sea shipment. Air freight for standard bulk hotel linen orders (1,000+ pieces) is rarely commercially justifiable.
