Airline Linen Buyer FAQs
Questions answered.
What airline linen products does Anabyn supply?+
Anabyn supplies a full range of airline cabin linen: Business class blankets (typically 150×200cm, 250–350 GSM fleece or woven); business class flat sheets and duvet covers; economy class pillow covers and pillow sleeves; business/first class pillowcases (400–500TC cotton); amenity kit face towels (small 30×30cm, 180–250 GSM); headrest covers (antimicrobial treated options); and premium cabin towels for first class suites. We supply both short-use (single-flight) and multi-use airline linen collections.
What certifications are required for airline linen?+
Airline linen must meet aviation safety and hygiene standards: OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is required by most major airlines for passenger-contact textiles; flame retardancy testing (BS 5867 Part 2, FAR 25.853 or equivalent) for blankets used in pressurized cabins; antimicrobial treatment available and documented; origin and traceability documentation for airline procurement compliance. Emirates, Etihad, British Airways, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines all specify OEKO-TEX as minimum certification.
What is the minimum order quantity for airline blankets?+
Minimum order quantity (MOQ) for airline blankets is 1,000 pieces per style/colour. Economy class pillow covers: MOQ 2,000 pieces. Business class linen sets (pillowcase + flat sheet): MOQ 500 sets. Custom-branded airline blankets with woven airline logo: MOQ 2,000 pieces. For full aircraft fitting (e.g. a 180-seat narrow-body aircraft with 3 changes): typical order is 2,000–3,000 economy pillow covers per aircraft per quarter. We work with airline caterers (LSG, Gate Gourmet, dnata) and airline procurement direct.
Are your airline blankets flame retardant?+
Yes. We offer airline blankets with inherent flame retardant fibre (e.g. FR polyester or FR cotton blends) or topical FR treatment (for natural fibre blankets). FR-treated options meet BS 5867 Part 2 Type B flame spread and FAR 25.853(b) vertical burn test requirements for aircraft cabin textiles. All FR treatment is OEKO-TEX compatible and documented with test certificates. Business class blankets in woven cashmere-touch or high-pile fleece are available with FR certification upon request.
Do you supply single-use airline linen?+
Yes. We supply single-use airline linen for economy class: non-woven pillow covers (disposable, sealed for hygiene), single-flight pillowcases in poly-cotton (cheap, hygienic for economy), and single-use eye masks with strap. These are packed sealed in individual polybags. Airlines transitioning to single-use economy linen to reduce laundry costs while maintaining passenger hygiene (post-COVID trend) are a growing segment of our airline supply business.
